Medical


All Employees:

The City offers Regence HealthFirst 250, Regence High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), Kaiser $200 Deductible, and Kaiser High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). The City pays 100% of the premiums for employees and 90% for dependents/qualified domestic partners.

Dental


Non-Represented Employees and Police Guild Employees:

The City offers Washington Dental Service (dental and orthodontia) and Willamette Dental. The City pays 100% of the premiums for employees and 90% for dependents/qualified domestic partners.


Teamster's Represented Employees:

The City offers Washington Teamster's Welfare Trust Dental Plan A. The City pays 100% of the premiums for employees, and a portion for dependents/qualified domestic partners.

Vision


Non-Represented Employees and Police Guild Employees: 

The City offers Vision Service Plan. The City pays 100% of the premiums for employees and dependents/qualified domestic partners.

Teamster's Represented Employees:

The City offers Washington Teamster's Welfare Trust Vision Plan EXT. The City pays 100% of the premiums for both employees and dependents/qualified domestic partners.

Employee Assistance Program


The City offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP provides confidential assistance to employees and anyone living in their household.  The City pays 100% of the premiums.  


Health Savings Account (HSA)

Employees participating in a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) receive a contribution to their HSA, and have the option to contribute make additional pre-tax contributions directly from their salary.

Dual Coverage Medical Incentive/VEBA
​An employee who elects not to enroll in the city's medical plan, or whose family members choose not to enroll, may be eligible for a VEBA contribution.

Supplemental Insurance

Supplemental insurance plans including life insurance, short-term disability and supplemental dental insurance are available. Many of the plans feature pre-taxable benefits.

State Industrial Insurance Act


Employees are covered by Industrial Insurance through the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries.
