Stormwater Management Utility

The Stormwater Management Utility has primary authority and responsibility for carrying out the City’s comprehensive stormwater plan, maintenance, administration, and operation of all City storm and surface water facilities, as well as establishing standards for design, construction, and maintenance of improvements on private property where these may affect storm and surface water and management.

Surface Water Fees
Surface water fees are used to provide the following services: stormwater management planning, facilities maintenance, regulation, financial administration, public involvement, drainage investigation and enforcement, aquatic resource restoration, surface and stormwater quality and environmental monitoring, natural surface water drainage system planning, intergovernmental relations, and facility design and construction.

If you notice any pollution generating spills or are aware of any illegal discharges of pollutants within the City of Lake Stevens, please call our Storm Water Management Division at (425) 212-3313. If it is after regular business hours, please call 911.
