Shoreline Master Program
Purpose

The City of Lake Stevens Shoreline Master Program (SMP) is a planning document that outlines goals and policies for development adjacent to city shorelines.  The new regulations became effective June 14, 2013.

The Washington Department of Ecology (DOE) identified three shoreline areas within or adjacent to the city: Lake Stevens, and portions of Little Pilchuck Creek and Catherine Creek.
