Library Board
Mission & Function
The Mission of the Lake Stevens Library Board is to:
  • Help identify the library needs of the community & communicate those needs to the City of Lake Stevens and Sno-Isle Libraries
  • Interface with the Friends of the Library & other library support groups to raise local awareness regarding the value of the public library & to increase visibility of the library’s services
  • Help ensure that the library facility meets the needs of the community
  • Meet periodically with the City of Lake Stevens, Sno-Isle Libraries Deputy & Staff to maintain an awareness of ongoing library services and programs & make recommendations to the City of Lake Stevens City Council regarding library service in Lake Stevens as needed

The Library Board comprises nine members who are appointed to four-year terms. This board advises the City Council on matters concerning the library, including service provisions and budget recommendations.

The Library Board meets quarterly at the Community Center, 1808 Main Street. You can contact the board via email.
