Our department's goal for Community / Youth Outreach is to work toward building relationships and safer communities, providing information, and addressing concerns as best as we can together – while making personal contacts and connections with neighborhood residents, community groups and businesses with programs and services such as:

​Citizens Academy

Come and learn what your police department does to help make the City of Lake Stevens a great place to live and work.  The 2018 Citizens Academy will be an 8-week course starting on September 6th.  A background check is required for all participants.  Deadline to apply is August 31ST. Classes are held at the Lake Stevens Fire District Headquarters Building located at 1825 South Lake Stevens Rd. Lake Stevens, WA 98258. The academy is conducted on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with two Saturday field trips.  The program will be taught by your local police officers, police specialists, city prosecutors and advocates.  This year’s academy will include tours, classroom instruction and demonstration
