Notice is hereby provided in accordance with RCW 42.30.080 and LSMC 2.08.030 that members of the Civil Service Commission, Library Board, Park Board, Salary Commission, Veteran’s Commission, Planning Commission and City Council may be attending a training session titled ABCs for the BCCs (see training description below), possibly resulting in a quorum.

Purpose of Special Meeting:           Training Session for ABCs for the BCCs:

The "ABCs of BCCs" is intended to provide an overview of common legal issues facing municipal Boards, Councils, Commissions (the "BCCs"). This training event will focus on identifying risks and best practices in managing public records, compliance with open public meetings laws, and conducting government decision making in a fair and transparent manner.  Approaches for running effective meetings to enhance relations between BCC members and between BCC members and the general public will also be addressed.
