[ARCHIVED] Want to do the right thing, but trestle makes it hard

I live on the south end of the lake and commute everyday to Bellevue. I previously took the 532 bus from the transit center in Everett. I would leave my house and go down 20th to cross the trestle into Everett as thousands of others do each day. That massive clog caused me to use my alternative route, down Highway 9 to Powerline Road across Bickford to Highway 2. What a pain! It would be severely backed up many times. Traffic was so bad I often missed the bus and was significantly delayed getting to work.

Taking the bus is the right thing to do to reduce cars on the road, but now I drive alone. To avoid terrible traffic on southbound Highway 9, I go through Snohomish along the airport then to Highway 9. It generally takes about an hour. If I would take the bus, it would take nearly 45 minutes just to get to the bus stop. I avoid the trestle like the plague during rush hour now.
