[ARCHIVED] Community Survey on the Kids Oasis Playground

Kids Oasis Playground

The Lake Stevens School District and the City of Lake Stevens are looking for feedback from our community regarding the potential replacement of the Kids Oasis Playground.

Kids Oasis was a wooden castle park adjacent to Mt. Pilchuck Elementary School. Kids Oasis was built in 1992 through a partnership with the school district, City of Lake Stevens, numerous community volunteers, and several local businesses. It was demolished over the summer because it had become a safety hazard that was increasingly difficult to maintain.

We would like your feedback on what you liked about Kids Oasis, and what type of playground or recreational facility you would like to see potentially replace it.

For the purposes of the survey, we will ask about your use of the school district playgrounds and city parks. Each of Lake Stevens School District’s seven elementary schools has a playground for students during the school day, and community use during non-school hours. The City of Lake Stevens also has several parks and playgrounds including a new playground at North Cove Park.

The survey will close this Friday, October 8, 2021, at 3 p.m.
