The City is proposing updates to its existing regulations regarding fences, hedges and walls within city limits. The purpose of the code amendment is to clarify and revise the height, setback requirements, allowable location, and definition of fences and retaining walls, as well as address safety concerns and aesthetics for such features. The Lake Stevens Planning Commission will discuss the proposed regulations Wednesday, November 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the Lake Stevens Community Center. The city anticipates a public hearing before the Planning Commission on December 5, 2018 and a public hearing before the City Council in December 2018 or in January of 2019. The city is seeking input on the proposed regulations. Input may be provided via written comments prior to or at the public hearing or provided via verbal testimony at the public hearing.
