The Department of Commerce has launched a new Economic Recovery Dashboard, a tool that uses a variety of data sources to track Washington’s economic recovery and resiliency. The dashboard was developed with federal CARES Act funding and provides metrics designed to improve our understanding of the impacts of COVID-19 and help inform decisions by local, regional, and state leaders. Governor Inslee issued new guidance for Phase 2 and Phase 3 of Washington’s Safe Start plan for miscellaneous venues, including convention/conference centers, designated meeting spaces in hotels, events centers, and other similar venues. The new guidance allows business meetings, professional development training and testing, and substantially similar activities to occur away from business premises and with additional attendees, as long as certain requirements are met. There was updated guidance released for Phase 2 and Phase 3 Personal Service Providers. You can find the updated guidance here, which includes a summary of modifications for any service that necessitates the removal of a customer’s face covering.
