A virtual public meeting was held on Thursday, April 8, presenting initial alternative concepts for a potential Civic Center at Chapel Hill. You can view the entire webinar presentation on the City's YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/7_oyejdexM8 and click here for the slideshow presentation. After viewing the presentation, community members are asked to take an online survey to share their input.
The City of Lake Stevens is working in collaboration with the Lake Stevens Sewer District and Sno-Isle Libraries in an exploratory process to evaluate the possibilities of a Civic Center campus concept. The proposal includes a new City Hall and Permit Center, Lake Stevens Sewer District administrative offices, and Lake Stevens Library in one consolidated Civic Center campus adjacent to transportation lines and easily accessible to the City Center. Currently, these City services are in undersized, portable, and/or temporary buildings.
The second online survey is to solicit public feedback on the design alternatives presented. Its purpose is to solicit community feedback on three concept alternative designs before a final preferred concept is developed.
The survey will be open for two weeks through April 22, 2021, 11:59 pm; the preferred alternative will be shared with the public. Visit the civic center's webpage for the survey link and more information on this project. https://www.lakestevenswa.gov/civiccenter
