Week of October 25 - Photo With The Great Pumpkin Halloween Photo Contest

Show off your photography skills and enter the City of Lake Stevens Photo With The Great Pumpkin Halloween Costume Contest!  Head to Lundeen Park in a Halloween costume and pose with The Great Pumpkin!  The winner of each category wins a limited-edition shopper's bag with movie night treats.

There are 4 categories:  

• Silliest Pose
• Best Coordinating Costumes
•  Awesome Digital Editing
• Best Group Photo  

It’s easy to enter:

1. Head to Lundeen Park in a Halloween costume and pose with The Great Pumpkin; pets and group (2 or more people, stuffed friends and/or pets) photos are welcome!
2. Email your photo to marketing@lakestevenswa.gov by Sunday, October 31st, 11:59 pm, with the following:
   • Title the email Halloween Costume Contest 2021
   • Include the name of one of the above categories your entry is for
   •  Your first and last name, complete address, and phone number 

By submitting an entry, you agree to the following official contest rules: 

• Limit one (1) entry per category.
• The image submitted must be fitting of the contest theme and must be original, created, and/or taken by the entrant. It must not contain any materials owned or controlled by a third party for which the entrant has not obtained a license, and it must not infringe the copyright, trademark, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity, or intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
• Entries must be received by Sunday, October 31, 2021, 11:59 pm.
• One prize, in the form of a limited-edition City of Lake Stevens tote bag containing candy and snack items, will be awarded to each category.
• Winners will be chosen and notified by email and/or telephone number provided in their email submission and announced by November 5, 2021, on the City’s Harvest Fest website post and social media. Potential winners will have five (5) business days to respond, or he/she will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be selected.
• City of Lake Stevens employees are not eligible to enter.
•  All winning entries will be posted on the City’s webpage and social media outlets.
• The City of Lake Stevens is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries, or incomplete/incorrect entries.

Week of October 18 - Scavenger Hunt at the Harvest Market

Although Harvest Fest is virtual, the Lake Stevens Farmers Market's Harvest Market is still going strong, Saturday, October 23, 11 am - 4 pm at North Cove Park. As an essential service, the market continues to provide a low-barrier entry point for beginning farmers, stimulates our local economy, and increases access to fresh, nutritious food that in turn, supports a healthy community.  

Join us for the Harvest Market Scavenger Hunt!  Click on the photo or link below to print out the scavenger hunt sheet, bring it to the Harvest Market, and explore the Harvest Market and North Cove Park to complete.  The first 150 completed scavenger sheets turned in at the City of Lake Stevens booth at the Harvest Market will receive a shoppers' bag with candy and fun items from the Lake Stevens Police Department. Limit one shoppers' bag per participating child.  There will be a very limited number of printed sheets to pick up at the City's booth, so we advise you to print yours off before you visit the Harvest Market on Saturday, October 23.

Week of October 11 - Halloween Coloring Contest 

Hey kids! Show off your skills for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Kaliki’s Hawaiian Shave Ice, Blue’s Frozen Yogurt, or Lake Stevens Donuts, based on your age category, sponsored by Gold Creek Community Church!  

There are three age categories, 0 - 5 years, 6 - 9 years, and 10 -17 years.  Prizes are:  the 0 – 5 category prize is one (1) $25 gift card to Kaliki’s Hawaiian Shave Ice, the 6 – 9 category prize is one (1) $25 gift card to Blue’s Frozen Yogurt, and the 10 – 17 category prize is one (1) $25 gift card to Lake Stevens Donuts.

It’s easy to enter:

1. Click one of the links below to download a coloring page based on your age category; color it in, using crayons, markers, or colored pencils, only.
2. Complete the Registration Information on the back of the coloring sheet. 
3. Drop off or mail your completed entry by Friday, October 29, 4:00 pm at City Hall.  There is a specially marked bin outside the building by the main doors during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4 pm to drop off your entries.  You can also submit your entries by email marketing@lakestevenswa.gov

Week of October 4 -  Where In The World Is The Great Pumpkin?

The Great Pumpkin is hiding somewhere in Lake Stevens!  Solve the puzzle to find its location;  

• Each clue is about different parts of our city, its government, and its departments
• Each clue’s answer is found on different pages of the City’s website (i.e. If the answer is Public Works, visit the Public Works page)
• Find the photo of The Great Pumpkin on the page, there is a letter on the photo.  Match the letter with the clue’s number on the puzzle line
• Fill in all the letters to spell out where The Great Pumpkin is hiding!
